The most popular one of Thailand’s appetizers is “Satay”. Originally from Indonesia, the grill chicken or pork marinated with various kinds of herbs and spices eaten with the spicy and creamy sauce (Satay Sauce) is very delicious.
Marinade and Sauce Mix with Coconut Milk Powder included
Cooking time 15 minutes | Serves 4 | Spicy Level: Mild
Preparation “Satay”
- 1 packet Satay Marinade Mix 25 g
- 1 packet Satay Sauce Mix 45 g
- 1 packet Coconut Milk Powder 25 g

Boneless chicken or preferred meat cut into 2 cm (1 inch) cubes 500 g
How to cook Meat Satay
- Dissolve contents of Satay Marinade Mix with 120 ml of water and 1-2 tbsp cooking oil for marinade meat. Soak well and leave for at least 2 hours in refrigerator.
- Threading meat onto wooden skewers.
- To charcoal / electric grill: baste with cooking oil, turn frequently. Grill until done.
Tips: To prevent wooden skewers burning, you may soak them in water about 30 minutes before using.
How to cook Satay Sauce
- Heat 150 ml of water in small pan for 1 minute. Add Coconut Milk Powder, stir well. Empty content of Satay Sauce Mix into coconut milk. Stir until well blended. Bring to boil.
- Lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes, keep stirring all the time. Serve with Meat Satay.
