This is the one of popular Thai Cuisine. The various kinds of spices such as bay leaves, cardamom, cumin, clove make this recipe very delicious. Like many from Thailand, shows a Muslim influence.

Preparation “Thai Masaman Curry”
- 1 packet Masaman Curry Paste35 g
- 1 packet Coconut Milk Powder40 g
- 1 packet Dried Spices 4 g

Chicken or preferred meat (cut into bite-sized pieces) 200 g
Roasted peanuts 20 g
Potatoes and onion (cut into bite-sized pieces) 60 g
Water 240 ml (1 cup)
Cooking oil 2 tbsp
How to cook
- Heat cooking oil in saucepan, stir fry Masaman Curry Paste for 1 minute on medium heat. Add meat and stir fry until cooked.
- Dissolve Coconut Milk Powder in 240 ml of hot water. Pour coconut milk into saucepan.
- Add roasted peanuts, potatoes and onion, bring to boil. Then lower the heat, simmer for 10 minutes or until well cooked. Keep stirring.
- Add Dried Spices (except Oxygen Absorber sachet, DO NOT EAT). A dash of fish sauce and sugar can be added, if desired. Serve hot.
