Tom Ka soup (spicy soup with coconut milk) is a delightful soup of Thailand. The mind hot and sour combined with coconut milk, that has flavor and aroma of young galangal and lemongrass is the character of this dish.
Preparation “Tom Ka”
serves 4 (cooking time 10 minutes)
Items prepared in the pack
- 1 packet Tom Ka Paste 25 g.
- 1 packet Coconut Milk Powder
- 1packet Dry Spices 5 g.
Other ingredients
- Chicken (cut into bite-sized pieces) 200 g. (7 oz./ ½ Ib.)
- Mushrooms and Cabbage 60 g. (2 oz)
- Water 320 ml. ( 1 % cups / 11 no . )
How to Cook
- Dissolve Coconut Milk Powder in 320 ml. water in pot or saucepan, do not use hot or cold water.
- Boil coconut milk. Pure contents of Dry Spices packet.
- Add chicken, mushrooms and cabbage.
- Add Tom Ka Paste and stir until dissolved.
- Boil until chicken, mushrooms and cabbage are cooked.
- A dash of fish sauce can be added, it desired.
- Serve hot.
