The most popular one of Thailand’s appetizers is “Satay”. Originally from Indonesia, the grill chicken or pork marinated with various kinds of herbs and spices eaten with the spicy and creamy sauce (Satay Sauce) is very delicious.
Preparation “Satay” and Peanut Sauce
serves 4
Items prepared in the pack
- 1 packet Satay Meat Marinade Seasoning Mix 25 g.
- 1 packet Spice Mix for Peanut Sauce 45 g.
- 1 packet Coconut Milk Powder 25 g.
Other ingredients
- Boneless Chicken or Lamb or Beef, Cut in 2cm. (1”) cubes 500 g. (17 oz./ ½ Ib.)
How to Cook
Meat Satay
- Disslove content of Satay Meat Marinade with 120 ml.
(½ cup, 4 fl oz.) of water and 1-2 tbsp cooking oil for marinade meat. Soak well and leave for at least 2 hours.
- Threading meat onto wooden skewers.
- To charcoal / electric grill: baste with cooking oil, turn frequently. Grill until done.
Tips: To prevent wooden skewers burning, you may soak them in water about 30 minute before using.
Peanut Sauce
- Disslove Coconut Milk Power in 150 ml. (2/3 cup, 5.2 fl oz.) water in the small pan, do not use hot or cold water.
- Empty content of Spice Mix for Peanut Sauce into Coconut milk. Stir until well blended.
- Boil onto lower heat and cook about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve with Meat Satay.
Microwave Direction
- Disslove Coconut Milk Powder and spice Mix for Peanut Sauce in 150ml. of water in microwave safe bowl Into microwave. Cook in high heat for 4 minutes.
- Stir again and serve.
