Tom Ka soup (spicy soup with coconut milk) is a delightful soup of Thailand. The mind hot and sour combined with coconut milk, that has flavor and aroma of young galangal and lemongrass is the character of this dish.

Preparation “Tom Ka”
- 1 packet Tom Ka Paste 25 g
- 1 packet Coconut Milk Powder 25 g
- 1 packet Dried Spices 5 g
(Item marked are prepared in the pack)
Chicken or preferred meat (cut into bite-sized pieces) 150 g
Mushrooms and cabbage or other vegetables 80 g
Water 320 ml
How to cook
- Heat 320 ml of water in pot or saucepan for 1 minute. Add Coconut Milk Powder. Stir well and bring to boil.
- Add meat, mushrooms and cabbage.
- Add Tom Ka Paste and stir until dissolved. Boil until meat, mushrooms and cabbage are cooked.
- Pour contents of Dried Spices packet (except Oxygen Absorber sachet, DO NOT EAT). A dash of fish sauce and lime juice can be added, if desired. Serve hot.
Microwave Direction
- Heat 320 ml of water in the microwave for 1 minute, then take it out. Add Coconut Milk Powder, stir until dissolved. Add Tom Ka Paste, stir well. Add meat and vegetables. Put in the microwave on high heat (800 watts) for 4 minutes or until meat and vegetables are well cooked.
- Thae the bowl out, add Dried Spices (except Oxygen Absorber sachet, DO NOT EAT). A dash of fish sauce and lime juice can be added, if desired. Serve hot.
